Visual development- 1

The design work in progress on the 4 cover page, by using Medibang paint pro. I have tested out with a few of the brushes and texture provided in the software, also trying to find new texture that is free to use online.

This is the first try out I did is the nightmare "falling dream", but I notice there is still space to improve. I need to try adding the colours I showed in my mood board (blue and red) because I want it to feel scary. I also added noise texture to improve the overall feeling.

The second try is added with 3 colours to red, blue and yellow inspired by the image showed below. The feeling of movement, vivid and crazy which suit what I want to make. 

The final design of the "falling dream" 

The meaning behind this image: looking at yourself helplessly falling as your hands and legs are useless, there is nothing to hold on to. To explain the stars behind the background: the title of this project is called "Nightmare Wonderland", wonderland as "the different nightmare you can explore in the gallery". So it is presented in starts, each star share similar content but with different "key object (background, colours, music).

Thoughts of the day:
As time pass by, I have already used up one whole day just to create this cover. I do think I would need more time for searching reference and getting used to this art style. I am happy with the result because it is just as how I imagine it would be. I am glad to learn a whole new style. So... you on the next post for my next cover "Death".
