Before building the website, I need to confirm the format and choices I have to export my animation. The format should be fast to load and able to export it as a transparent background. Sharing what I found :
My first findings were image formats like (APNG, WebP, MNG, FLIE) alternatives format to GIF that are supported by Google and other web formats. However, I am not familiar with these formats so I continue searching for a format that is stable and widely applied. As I continue searching, I found that many web developers and experts used HTML video (MPEG-4) replacing GIF. As GIF take out to much space and its limit of 256 colours.
With the advance of HTML 5 and modern web videos, it is far easier to add lightweight video format (90% smaller size) for looped clips. The browser supports HTML video technique above 94%. For example, Imgur uses GIFV format but its GIF's are uploaded to the site are automatically converted to MP4 and WebM. Also, MP4 supports a transparent background. In conclusion, I would be exporting my animation in the format of MP4. I take these findings purpose to my specialist and confirmed MP4 would be my final format for transparent background.
